DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S  MESSAGE---

A NEW YEAR’S MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR

District Governor Budd and Carol would like to take this opportunity to wish all Rotarians, their families and friends, a very Happy New Year. It’s around this time of the year that people look to make their New Year’s resolutions. You hear them every year, “I’m going on a diet, I’m quitting smoking, no more goodies for me, or I am definitely joining the gym this year”. We have all tried them before.

In 2012, try some of these ‘Lucky 13’ Rotary Resolutions.

1.      Donate to the Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund, ‘Every Rotarian, Every Year.’

2.      Bring your idea of a new project to the Rotary table.

3.      Volunteer at your local soup kitchen or food pantry.

4.      Ask a friend, relative or business associate to join Rotary.

5.      Make-up a missed meeting at a neighboring club.

6.      Spread the news about Rotary during January, It’s Rotary Awareness Month.

7.      Don’t stop giving to the Polio plus Fund just because Rotary has met the

        200 million dollar challenge,

8.      Learn the 4-Way Test by heart; it’s only 24 simple words.

9.      Include RI in your will or estate plan, join the Bequest Society.

10.    Find out what the Paul Harris Society is all about.

11.    Be bold, sit at a different table this week at Rotary.

12.    Be a Rotarian, not just a member of your club.

13.    Make a difference in someone’s life today.

Happy New Year and May 2012 Be the Best Year of Your Life

Until Next Time
