Each year District 7410 holds an Essay Contest for high school juniors. Each Club is asked to contact their local high school English Departments and present the contest theme for the year. The Clubs submitt their top essay to the district Essay Contest Committee where they are judged. Prizes are awarded as follows:

2010 Rotary District 7410 Essay Contest 

"Service above Self, What does it Mean?"

A 250-300 word essay describing your understanding of Rotary International's Motto "Service above Self"

First Prize:   $1,000.00 awarded by our District Governor in March 2010

Second Prize:        $500.00 awarded at your host club in March, 2010

Third Prize:            $250.00 awarded at your host club in March, 2010
